More Crochet

I finished crocheting a dress for Clara.  The pattern was designed by Alicia Paulson, and is called the Mina Dress. The main yarn is a baby cashmerino.   I used up some scraps to make the striped bodice.   Clara has several shirts that go nicely underneath this little dress.

We are going to Philadelphia to visit our extended family tomorrow. I can't wait to be with all of them. We will be there a week.

I am bringing my latest crochet project to work on....a dress for Clara. I have the bodice completed. The bodice is striped, and I am so glad I have finished working in all the ends!

P.s. The photo in the header was taken last year. That is my Joseph. He is a most delightful child.

Crochet Sweaters

I have been busy crocheting for dear Clara.  The first sweater I made from an Alicia Paulson pattern, which is found in the book, Vintage Crochet.  The name of the pattern is "Maisie" Cardigan.  The yarn used was Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmerino in mauve.  Here is Clara wearing the cardigan.

I made the sweater in size 12-24 months.  It fits one-year old Clara fine.  There are four, tiny flower buttons, but they don't show up in the photo.

I also crocheted a sweater/hat set from a free pattern found on the Lion Brand site.  The set is called, Crochet Cute as a Bunny.  The pink yarn is Baby Soft Yarn in bubblegum and the white yarn is Velvetspun.   The hat has a bunny face embroidered on it; but, once again the photo doesn't show the face.  The buttons are bunnies.

I wish I had taken a close-up of the sweaters and hat, but I didn't.  I am just so thankful they turned out so well.

I hope to make the Mina Dress, by Alicia Paulson, for my next project for Clara.  Also,
I am planning  an adult-sized  project, the  Millie Cardigan (Alicia Paulson). for a Christmas gift for one of my dear, daughter-in-laws.  The Mina Dress pattern I downloaded on Ravelry, and the  Millie Cardigan is in the Vintage Crochet Book
